Drama Camps

Broadway Rose currently offers two exciting summer drama camps for ages 8 – 11 years old. Campers experience all aspects of theater, from improvisation and theater games, to technical and performance skills. These skills are put to the test when the campers perform in the ensemble of one of the children’s theater productions.

2013 Camp Sessions:

Camp One for ages 8 to 11:

Fri., June 28:
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Mon., July 1 – Fri., July 5:
10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (no camp on July 4th Independence Day )

Mon., July 8 & Tue., July 9:
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Wed., July 10 & Thu., July 11:
10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (including 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. performances of The Jungle Book).

Fri., July 12 & Sat., July 13:
10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (including 11 a.m. performances of The Jungle Book).

Camp Two for ages 8 to 11:

Mon., July 29 – Fri., August 2:
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Mon., August 5 & Tue., August 6:
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Wed., August 7 –  Sat., August 10:
10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (including 11 a.m. performances of Snow White).


Location: Deb Fennell Auditorium, 9000 SW Durham Road, Tigard.

Tuition: $250.00 (space is limited)

Instructor: Megan Murphy

In addition to several years leading summer drama camps at Broadway Rose, Megan Murphy has performed onstage in Hairspray, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Singin’ in the Rain, and Little Shop of Horrors. She’s also appeared alongside drama campers in the children’s theater productions of Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, and Sleeping Beauty. She has worked with the backstage crews for Jekyll & Hyde, Chicago, The Melody Lingers On, They’re Playing Our Song, Nunsense, and My Way.
