Volunteer Guide

Thank You Volunteers! Broadway Rose wouldn’t be the company we are without you, our volunteers. Many of you have given literally thousand of hours of your valuable time and dedication over the years.

Click here to download a copy of the 2015 Volunteer Training Guide (PDF document). The purpose of the manual is to give you all of the information and tools that you will need to be a successful volunteer at Broadway Rose.

Requirements
A performance volunteer must have and do the following things when working at a performance shift:
• Have a working knowledge of Broadway Rose Theatre Company
• Have a “Can-Do” attitude
• Have your volunteer badge visible at all times while on duty as a volunteer
• Attend the pre-show briefing one hour before the performance
• Wait to leave until you are dismissed by the House Manager or your staff person

A performance volunteer also needs to be able all of the following:
• Lift up to 15 lbs.
• Stand for one hour
• Be able to climb up and down stairs
• Be able to help yourself and others in case of an emergency

Dress Code
• We ask that all of our volunteers dress in black and white (in any combination) so you can easily identified by our patrons. Shorts are not acceptable.
• For safety reasons, please wear close-toed shoes only please.
• Some patrons have allergies to perfume or cologne. We ask that you wear these products sparingly, if at all.

9000 SW Durham Road, Tigard OR 97224 (at Tigard High School)

From the North or East
Travel south on I-5 to Exit 290 and make a right at the bottom of the ramp. Turn right at the first light onto 72nd Ave. At the second light, turn left onto Durham. Go through three lights. The Deb Fennell Auditorium is on your left. Park in west parking lot next to tennis courts.

From the South
Take I-5 north to Exit 290 and make a left at the bottom of the ramp. Turn right at the first light onto 72nd Ave. At the second light, turn left onto Durham. Go through three lights. The Deb Fennell Auditorium is on your left. Park in west parking lot next to tennis courts.

From the West
Traveling on 217 east toward Lake Oswego, exit OR-99W and make a right at end of ramp onto HWY 99W (Pacific Highway). At the next light turn left onto Hall Blvd. Stay on Hall Blvd. for approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto Durham Road. The Deb Fennell Auditorium is on your left. Park in west parking lot next to tennis courts.

DIRECTIONS TO THE NEW STAGE ON GRANT AVENUE
12850 SW Grant Avenue, Tigard, OR 97223

From the North or East
Travel south on I-5 to Exit 294, the Tigard exit. Travel through Tigard to Walnut Street (about 2 miles), turn right onto Walnut Street, go 1 block and turn left onto Grant Street. Go to the turn-around at the end of the street. The theater is on the left.

From the South
Take I-5 north, merge onto OR 217 at Exit 292A. Take Exit 6 (OR-99W) to Tigard. Turn left onto SW Pacific Highway. Go about 1 mile, turn right onto Walnut Street, then left on Grant Street. Go to the turn-around at the end of the street. The theater is on the left.

From the West
Take OR-99W to Tigard, turn left onto Walnut Street. Turn left onto Grant Street. Go to the turn-around at the end of the street. The theater is on the left.
