
Audience Agreements
Broadway Rose is committed to fostering an environment where people of all walks of life can come together to experience the magic of musical theatre. We aim to cultivate a community of kindness and respect where everyone is welcome and treated with dignity and compassion. In support of this goal, by attending a Broadway Rose performance community members agree to uphold our audience agreements and policies:
- Treat your fellow audience members, staff, and artists with kindness and respect. Broadway Rose does not tolerate harassment or discrimination on any basis including but not limited to race, ethnicity, age, ability, economic standing, gender identity or expression, sexual or romantic orientation, language, immigration status, or religion. To report instances of harassment or discrimination, please see a staff member.
- Avoid attire that displays profanity, discriminatory language or images, or hate speech/imagery targeting groups based on any protected classification.
- “Unplug” by turning off mobile phones and electronic devices. Texting, photography, and recording of any kind are strictly prohibited during the performance.
- Food and beverages are not permitted in the auditorium, with the following exceptions: bottled water, lidded coffee, and other beverages purchased from concessions in reusable Broadway Rose cups. If enjoying alcoholic beverages from concessions, audience members are expected to drink responsibly.
- Open cough drop wrappers prior to the beginning of the performance.
- Refrain from talking, humming, and singing during the performance.
- Refrain from wearing or using scented products as some patrons are sensitive or allergic to fragrances.
- Broadway Rose facilities are smoke-free; smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere on the premises.
- Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the house manager. If you need to leave the auditorium during the performance, you may return to your seat at intermission.
- Children under six years of age, including babes in arms, are not admitted to our mainstage shows.
- Only service animals are permitted in the theater.
- Disruptive audience members may be asked to leave at the discretion of the staff.
- In the event of an emergency evacuation, please follow directions from management and ushers.
- Staff and volunteer ushers are trained and available to ensure your experience is first-rate and are empowered to make decisions that best support our efforts in preserving safety and community in our theatre.
