“The perfect musical”
– The New York Times
Book and Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner
Music by Frederick Loewe
August 1 – 18, 2013
When linguistics professor Henry Higgins meets dirty, disheveled, Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle outside Covent Garden, he wagers his colleague that within six months he can change Eliza into a high-society lady simply by teaching her to speak proper English. “It’s almost irresistible,” he says. “She’s so deliciously low. So horribly dirty.” But both professor and pupil begin a transformation that neither of them could have anticipated. Gloriously witty, wise, and winning, My Fair Lady features the memorable songs “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “On the Street Where You Live,” “The Rain in Spain,” and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.”
Performances held at the Deb Fennell Auditorium, 9000 SW Durham Road, Tigard.
Performance run time is 3 hours, including one 15-minute intermission.
